To see some of the cats which we have available for adoption check out our
available cats.
We often have others not shown on our web site, these may not
be quite ready for adoption, are being socialized, or we are too busy to update the site.
Our Plea for Help
We are a very small group made up of volunteers, who receive no salaries for their work. We
find ourselves often faced with taking in cats for which we have not planned. This places a
great strain on our already stretched resources.
Upon receiving a new cat we take it to our veterinarian for a routine health check and to
ensure that the shots are brought up to date. Many times the cats require additional care due
to minor health issues that are easily resolved, but that do require additional expenses. In an
average month we take 10-15 cats to our vet(s), sometimes resulting in significant expenses depending
on what services were required.
As part of our work we also care for a number of cats living outdoors which we have been unable to
capture. We are unable to abandon these cats who are often the ones most in need of help. As
space and time permit we capture, take care of health problems, and socialize them where possible.
In an ideal world there would be no cats living in these situations, however the sad reality is
that the need does exist.
Our funding comes from donations from people like you, our adoption fees, some fund raising, and
our own money to make up the difference when we run short. Donations as small as a few dollars or
some cans of food are a great help. We have donation cans and food bins located at the stores where
we hold adoption days, these stores are listed in the events section of
our web site.
